Williams was chosen in the second round, 48th overall. The Heat get a 2011 protected second-round pick in return. The 16th overall pick in the NBA's Developmental League Draft, Williams became the first player to ever go straight from high school to the D-League when he joined the Tulsa 66ers. He was also the first player to be drafted from the D- League in the NBA Draft. Williams averaged just 5.5 points and 6.7 rebounds per game in just under 18 minutes per outing with Tulsa.
