01/27/2010 - Sacramento, CA (Sportsbook Betting Lines) - Beno Udrih scored 24 points and Tyreke Evans added 23 points and six rebounds, as Sacramento halted a slump and downed Golden State, 99-96.

"I'm not going to lie. It feels good to get a win. It wasn't a pretty win, but we still found a way to win," said Kings head coach Paul Westphal.

Spencer Hawes notched a double-double with 18 points and 13 rebounds and Andres Nocioni added 10 points and nine rebounds for the Kings, who stopped a seven-game slide.

Stephen Curry compiled a game-best 27 points and Cartier Martin totaled a career-high 20 points to go with seven rebounds. The diminutive Curry grabbed nine boards and dished out six assists for the Warriors, who have lost two straight and three of four. Corey Maggette added 19 points and 12 rebounds, but he needed a 3-of-22 effort from the floor and 13 made free throws to reach that total.

Six straight from the home team late in the first quarter spurred a 23-18 edge after 12 minutes then it increased the margin before halftime. After a Curry three, five straight points capped by two Kevin Martin free throws opened a 32-21 game.

Maggette's free throw closed the deficit to 32-24, but the home team embarked on a 12-point flurry to blow the game open at 44-24. Evans scored two buckets in a 30-second span to cap the stretch. Evans' driving layup opened a 49-28 edge, but Golden State scored the final 10 points of the period capped by two straight buckets from Ronny Turiaf.

Five straight from Evans nearly midway through the third quarter again pushed the edge into more comfortable territory at 62-46, but two straight pull-up jumpers by Curry closed the margin to single digits minutes later at 65-56.

Sacramento led 73-60 after three and Nocioni's trey in the first several seconds of the final quarter opened a 16-point edge. The lead was not safe, however, as the visitors scored 10 straight at one point capped by two Maggette free throws to pull within five at 84-79.

Hawes' layup pushed the edge 92-79 and capped an eight-point run with 4:19 to go, but again the visitors pushed back with nine straight stamped by two Maggette free throws for a 92-88 advantage.

Cartier Martin's layup with 24 ticks to go brought the Kings within 94-92, and Udrih hit two free throws with 20.5 ticks to go to make it a two-possession game. After he drained a technical foul shot and Maggette drained a layup, Udrih hit two more clutch free throws for a 99-94 edge with 11.1 ticks left to seal the victory.

Game Notes

Sacramento shot just 38 percent from the floor and turned the basketball over 19 times, but Golden State made just 31.8 percent of its shots...Sacramento grabbed a Sacramento Kings-era record 68 rebounds.
